December 2009/January 2010
Hi everyone, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Ho Ho HO!
First,
Thanks for everyone making an effort to once again make sure
the JIFL runs smoothly. As captains and managers, it's always
important to look at the bigger picture of the JIFL, rather
than proving who has the bigger ego.As far as I'm aware, the
JIFL lives for one reason, and that is football. Therefore,
differences of opinion shouldn't get in the way of how we
treat each other both on and off the pitch.
Therefore, I would like to reiterate Ray's message that the
meeting will be held either on the 17th or 24th of January.
This isn't so I can upset certain people. It is just
realistic. So far, 2 teams have stated their preference for
Sunday the 24th of January. Therefore, unless there are any
major problems, I suggest we go with that date. The usual
venue: The Eastern Promise. Kick off time 2pm. Meanwhile, I
will help Dale with completing the back up of fixtures, and if
necessary the fixture list for the second leg. Moreover, we
will hopefully have information of a futsall competition early
January for teams that are interested by the end of the month.
Secondly, the reason for the league meetings is an open forum
to discuss any problems within the league, or verification of
rules. Therefore, there is nothing taboo! As of now the
meeting will discuss the points which Ray has written down
below, plus any other points you wish to bring up. ( please
e-mail them so we can add them to the agenda).
As stated, it is preferable both managers and captains are
present, so each team is invited to bring two to the meeting.
Once again, have a great Christmas and New Year,
and Keep smiling.

Chairman
